Registering my disappointment
-
I don’t need help with anything.
The purpose of this ticket is purely to register my disappoint with the new wordpress.com admin control system, and my annoyance and the further removal of the button allowing a switch back to the classic view.
On that note, my sincere thanks go out to all those who have found and spread workarounds to this particular issue.

I do not use it at all. I use the classic editor only. As you have discovered, you cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/
On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New is where to create posts in the classic editor. If you have cookies enabled on your browser your preference will be saved unless or until your clear your cookies, and it will take you to the classic editor automatically every time you create a new post via the drop-down menu in the black admin bar or edit a post via the edit button on the blog itself.I tagged this thread for Staff to take notice of your feedback. Hi Jeremy,
Can share specific things that don’t work well for you in the new editor or WordPress.com dashboard? I’d be happy to share that feedback with our team!
