Registering s second (free) blog
-
I don’t know if I’m being greedy, but I’m trying to add another free blog to my existing one (also free): the software only offers me paid ones. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, how are you?
You can have more than 2 free sites on your account, please check the link below, it’ll help you how to create a new site:

Hi Daniel, thanks for the prompt answer.
I did all that you said, and although initially the page says I can choose either a paid domain or a .wordpress.com free blog, whatever name I insert as a blog title it just gives me paid possibilities, whereas I remember when I registered my original blog the first option was free (even when it rejected my first few suggestions).
I’m not being deliberately mean: I use a top-up credit card for online payments and I keep having problems using it, with time-consuming further trips to the bank that so far have been fruitless…. -
The free option are only for domains with “.wordpress.com” at the end. For other type of domain you have to pay for it.

I’m perfectly happy with a .wordpress.com domain: they just won’t offer it as an option. I tried with random blog names to see if that was the problem, but no dice….

Thanks for persevering with this, Daniel: I tried again, using your link – they offered me nine possibilities, for either 18 (sorry, can’t remember it was dollars or euros) or 25: still no free .wordpress.com option. Is there any way of getting in touch with a “happiness engineer” if you haven’t got a pay plan?
