Registering site domain .io

  Hi I’m trying to domain map to my existing domain name – http://www.selig.io but it’s throwing the error message ‘To use a domain ending with .io on your site, you can register it elsewhere first and then add it here. Learn more.’ The help page gives no further insight into why I could be experiencing this problem

  Howdy seligio!

  It seems that your domain is registered at NameCheap.

  To point it to WordPress.com you’ll need to login to NameCheap, click “Manage” for the domain, and in the “NAMESERVERS” section, fill in the nameservers for WordPress.

  Put each of these nameservers on their own line:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  Then save.

  After pointing the nameserver to WordPress.com, you’ll need to have a Personal Plan or higher to map the domain onto WordPress.com
