Registering to follow my blog

When people want to register for my blog, they’re clicking the button on the actual home page (it say Absolutely!) and it advises that a confirmation email is sent. Unfortunately no confirmation email is being sent so people are thinking they’re registered when they’re not. I’ve checked it myself and no confirmation email was sent. However, if I click on the little Follow button on the bottom right that pops up that seems to work. I need this changed so that the email is sent when they click on the absolutely button.

No one who has a WordPress.com username account has to register with any public WordPress.com blog to follow that blog and/or submit comments to that blog. We simply click the “follow” button on our Admin bar.
If that’s the set up you want then I recommend you look into setting up your own WordPress.com install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ -
As for the issue of those who click the fllow blog button to subscribe to posts not receiving emails it’s possible the emails are in the spam filter.
