Registrar Expiration Date:
-
Hello,
we would like to buy the domain http://www.adatourism.com again via
wordpress.com. In the meantime we had it through another provider.
According to whois
(https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=adatourism.com) the Registrar
Expiration Date: 2018-11-10 has already been exceeded.
When can we buy the domain again on the free market at wordpress.com?Yours sincerely

Hello there!
Do you own the domain http://www.adatourism.com with http://www.ascio.com? You just let it expire 11-10-18?
The quickest way to get that domain to WordPress.com would be to recover the domain through the current registrar and once recovered you can transfer it to WordPress.com. https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

Here is information on the lifecycle of a gTLD domain:
https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/gtld-lifecycle-2012-02-25-enIt would be much faster to recover and then transfer.

Hi mishivee!
Thank you for your answer!
We owned the domain with http://www.ascio.com .
But we really do not want to work with the registrar again together. Can somebody tell me what the ” Registrar Expiration Date” in the graphic https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/gtld-lifecycle-2012-02-25-en is?
Thank you!

So, there is a very long redemption period. 45 day grace period and then 30 days after that it is still recoverable and then it is pending deletion. After deletion, it will soon become available. The image that you are referring to is the timeline for gTLD domains. It will take quite some time for the domain to be available again. Your fastest bet is to recover the domain and then immediately transfer to WordPress.com so WordPress.com is the new registrar. I’d contact the current registrar for their specific rules.
