Registration Page Gone Bad

  Stumped! This plug-in was working great last year. I haven’t had to use it since last February as there was no reason to register for my site between now and then. I went back today to check on it and, bam, it’s showing extra fields and not even the WP logo. I have no idea what happened. The other odd thing is I have an offline copy of this site and the plugin works fine. Both are using WP 4.1 and the most recent 4.0.3 version of the plug-in.

  I’ve tried removing it and re-installing it and that didn’t help. I love the options of user selected password since the WP default registration that includes a password ends up in many Junk email bins. I also love the Invitation Code and I’d hate to have to change to another. Does anyone have any ideas?

  I’m afraid you’re in the wrong forum. This support forum is for free WordPress.com blogs. You appear to have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  That’s disappointing. I can’t get anyone over there to respond so I tried posting a few places. I’m really screwed!

  I’m sorry, but there really is nothing we can do on this side to help you. Even staff here don’t have access to your dashboard, so your only option is to wait for a reply that side. I suggest you also search the forum over there while you wait to see if someone else perhaps has had a similar problem. I hope you get this sorted out soon.

  You could also see if the plugin itself has a web page or a support thread on the forums. Alternately, you could try contacting support at your hosting provider. Sometimes they will assist, but it varies between providers as to how much help they’ll provide for your WordPress installation itself.

  Thanks for the suggestions. Never heard a peep at the other place! But I did figure out the problem. Another plugin was adding fields.
