registration with non-existent email ID

    Hi, I tried registering a new blog with my AOL.IN email ID, only to notice later that AOL.IN has been shut down permanently. Now I can’t do anything with the blog. Is there some way to quickly retrieve the blog name? I see the message that the name is currently reserved and will become available in a few days, when I start registering the same blog….I need to start with the blog sooner and have no idea how many days it would take to free up the name.

    It would be great if WP allows the use of an alternate email ID during sign-up.
