Registrations on my website

  I continually get emails like this:
  WordPress via web175c40.carrierzone.com
  3:33 PM (8 minutes ago)
  to me

  New user registration on your site Robert Young:

  Username: eugeniotishler

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  but I don’t see any evidence of these people on my site. What does this mean? How do people even register for my site?

  Hi there!

  I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
