reguarding blog
-
First off just wanted to thank wordpress for allowing such a useable blog platform! You guys rock! Secondly, I just tried to type in my domain.. explodeinsports.wordpress.com and it says page unavailable in my browser. I posted 2 posts earlier today and it seemed fine. Finally, is there a way to add a forum to my blog so visitors can sign up for a name and start communicating amongst each other when they arrive? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see the blog just fine. It might be a ISP or internet issue between you and wordpress.
We cannot add a forum to blogs here at wordpress.COM. You can host one elsewhere and then link to it from your blog. There are a number of free forum hosting services available, but they are typically covered with advertising. That is how they pay to keep the service free.

Thanks for the comment! Do you have any addresses where there are some free forum hosting services? thanks… Oh and How does the blog look so far?

Your blog is working:

A quick google search will turn up many free forum services.

Thanks I’ll do that. One more question I know… I want to incorporate some AdSense into the blog to start tracking and making revenue in a few weeks.. I tried copy and pasting the code into where I put content into the pages, but the code actually shows up on the page.. Don’t want that haha!

We can’t have AdSense on WordPress.com blogs.
WordPress itself places adverts on our blogs to pay the bills and to keep the blogs free for us here.
-
Oh gotcha. I’ve been doing a lot of research on making money through blogging and building a site.. is anyone trying to do the same through their neatly designed wordpress blogs? I mean besides adsense.
-
Every man and his blog is trying to make money with Adsense. Virtually none of them are. It’s a mug’s game.

Paid advertising is not permitted on WordPress.com blogs. Perhaps you want to look into independent hosting and using software from WordPress.org, which does not have those restrictions.
I am making a (bare) living off advertising on independent WordPress blogs, but to give you an idea how competitive it is, there are apparently over 100 million blogs out there, and advertising rates have been cut this year by 50-75% even for popular blogs.
In short, unless you want to go at it as if you were starting a magazine, full-time and with plenty of elbow grease, it’s probably not going to pay off for you.
