Regular commentors in moderation
-
I asked this question in a similar thread well over a year ago. My blog requires registration so I get almost no spam. But my regular commenters are continuing to go into comment moderation. No rhyme or reason. No links in their comments(I don’t allow it and they know it), not excessively long, no emoticons. They could post 3 comments in one day and one comment, seemingly innocuous, will go into the moderation queue. I simply can’t figure it out.
Is there any way to preapprove people (IPs? emails?) to be able to post unrestricted? This is just very tiresome for them as well as me.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, there is a option here > Settings > Discussion
Before a comment appears
___ Comment author must have a previously approved commentBut it sounds like you have already used this. Is that correct?
-
Yes I tried that and people who had been approved were still going into moderation. It’s driving me crazy.

@susangpyp, you have “Hold a comment in the queue if it contains [1] or more links”. This applies even to regular commenters. Set it to 5 or 10 or something. (0 will hold every comment in moderation, because every comment has 0 or more links)
Also, you have some common words like “free” in your Comment Moderation list. This will send anyone writing about “freemasons” or “deepfreeze” to your moderation queue.
