Reinstall the Poly theme I purchased

  • Unknown's avatar

    On July 8, I purchased the Poly theme and have a receipt. With your help< i have spent the past few days customizing it with CSS. This morning, I took a snapshot of the most recent changes, then reapplied my old Twenty Ten theme just for comparison. When I tried to reapply the customized Poly theme, WP keeps asking me to purchase it again. Please help me restore the Poly theme I took a snapshot of this morning.

    Hi Greg,

    I just took a look at your site, http://thinklittleactlittler.wordpress.com/, and it looks like you figured it out. The Poly theme is back in place and activated for your blog.

    Was there anything else you needed?

    Thank you. I was able to restore most of the CSS by reading your previous notes.

    Two unresolved items: You were able to place a copyright symbol — the letter C in a complete circle — immediately after the title The Little Picture. It was 18px. It would be great if you could restore that and make it a superscript.

    Also, when I click on a menu item, that item appears as a ghosted page. Can you send the CSS that eliminates the title entirely, and brings the post content the same distance from the menu as the menu is from the header image.

    Thank you. Also, can you suggest the best way to learn the basics of CSS? I’ve already subscribed to lynda.com

    I wasn’t able to see any ghosting menu items, was that something which you sorted out?

    In either case, here is the script necessary for the Copyright symbol:

    .site-title:after {
        content: " 0a9";
        font-size: 18px;
        vertical-align: top;
    }

    In regards to your question about resources for learning CSS, I got my start at w3schools.com, which is free and will walk you through quite a lot step by step.

    Hi… thanks for the copyright thing, but when I apply the CSS, it takes it literally and inserts 0a9 instead. This is the same issue I had on Sunday, until Shawna fixed it.

    The ghosted page titles are still unfixed, and the deep margins are still there. When I click on a menu item, there is a large space between the menu and the posts. At the bottom of the space, there’s a ghosted page title.

    Finally, I think I found the CSS that deletes the Categories posted under text and the white space at the bottom of each post, but they appear to be still there.

    One more thing: When I use the customizer, the menu appears correctly in tablet view, but in desktop view, it resembles the iPhone view…

    Ah, I see when I sent the code our system removed the escape stroke, which prevents it from rendering correctly. I’m sorry for that!

    It also looks like Shawna is helping you with the rest of the issues with your site, so I’ll close this ticket. Best of luck with your future endeavours!
