Reinstate account

    Hello, I have been messaging since Sunday to have my account reinstated to the ‘personal’ account. Someone replied to me on Sunday which lead me to believe I could get this rectified relatively quickly. I attempted to upgrade due to a misunderstanding of your site and then requested a refund downgrade for the upgrade I requested. Upon doing so, the ‘personal’ account I had previously paid for dropped down to a ‘free’ account. I had paid for 3 years and would like the ‘personal’ account I paid for back (or a full refund). I am highly frustrated as I have not been able to get clarification or answered I need in a timely fashion and I believe that it is a silly policy to have to pay for ‘live chat’ and there is no other means to reach out for support outside of posting in the help center or emails. My experience with WordPress has not been the best so far. I am hoping to get my account back or my money back (I know it is outside of the refund date for the personal account but I am just that frustrated at this point).

    Hi there!

    Sorry about the trouble. I do see that you were not refunded for your original three-year Personal subscription, so I went ahead and reinstated that for you. I think the confusion the other support person had was the confusion between the Premium and Personal plans in your message. They are working through a backlog of support requests, so replies aren’t instantaneous which is why there was a delay from their first contact.

    With your Personal plan, you do get priority email support over the free support forums. Live chat is reserved for annual Premium higher subscription plans.
