Reinstating email forwarding
-
Google Apps deleted my email forwarding for (email visible only to moderators and staff) while I was on maternity leave. I cannot reinstate the Google account or delete it from the DNS so that I can use WordPress email forwarding (my preference). Can you help me remove Google account details from my DNS so that I can use your email forwarding service? Thank you!

Hi there,
I’d be happy to! To remove any DNS entries which you have, you’ll want to log in to your Dashboard and then navigate to Store >> My Domains >> Edit Domain >> Edit DNS.
On this page, you’ll see a list of all of your DNS entries. If you hover over any of them, on the right hand side of the screen, you’ll see an icon of a pencil (edit) or a rubbish bin (discard). You’ll want to click on the rubbish bin for any of the DNS entries which you’ve been told to delete.
You can set up new DNS entries from this same page as well.
Let me know if you run in to any issues!

Thanks for the fast reply!
I saw that I can edit my DNS, but I don’t know what to delete. I deleted all of the “MX” entries associated with Google. Should I also delete the “TXT” and “CNAME” entries that are related to Google?
How long does it take for WordPress to recognize that Google is no longer there and offer email forwarding again?

It looks like it’s an option right now. If you click on Email instead of Edit DNS, you should be able to create email forwarders.
Let me know if this doesn’t work for you!
