Related Articles Issue
-
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my related articles section at the bottom of each post. It seems the latest two posts “Fury” and “Bullet Train” aren’t working properly. So for example, if you select Fury, at the bottom it will show Bullet Train as a related article, however, the image is larger than normal. The same applies for Fury. Why is this happening?
Hopefully this issue makes sense. A member of your team did tweak my website last month to add “spacing” as I had another issue with the theme. Not sure if this is a carry over from that. Hopefully I’ve explained myself well enough.
TL;DR – the image on related articles seem bigger for the latest two articles I’ve written. I imagine this will continue. I do not like it.
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Hi there and thank you for your patience while we looked into this!
I can confirm the thumbnail is currently not resizing well for the “Bullet train” post, however, the cause is yet unclear.Have you tried using the featured image field instead of having it inside the content of the post to see if the resize is different?

Hi there!
After carefully reviewing this further, it appears that the correct thumbnail size is the bigger one (Bullet train) and the others should follow the same size, but because their height is only 145px, that doesn’t happen. The “Bullet train” thumbnail is bigger due to a glitch and if you’d like to keep it the same size as the other ones, then please add the following CSS code in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS field to adjust it further:
/* Force the thumbnail image height | 8618247-zen rg */ #jp-relatedposts .jp-relatedposts-items-visual .jp-relatedposts-post img.jp-relatedposts-post-img, #jp-relatedposts .jp-relatedposts-items-visual .jp-relatedposts-post span { max-height: 53.26px; object-fit: cover; object-position: top; } -
