Related Content Widget Not Wokring
-
Hi WP,
I’ve been having problems connecting the related posts option to my blog. I’ve ticked all the boxes but it appears not to be working? Can you fix this for me please?
Also I want to create categories which then show the relevant content on my blog. When I try to create a page with this it only shows the text and not the images even when I select the grid layout?
Regards,
Mary.

Ok, I tagged this thread for Staff attention. Be patient while waiting. :)
BTW, the site is marked private by you. It may be that the reason.

Hi Mary,
I checked your site and the related content section is appearing on your posts there. I checked your latest post here:
I see the related content at the bottom of the posts; here’s what I see: https://cloudup.com/c-L6HxPjUo3
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Thanks Rachel,
It wasn’t working over the weekend so that you. So does this only work when you link on individual blog posts as opposed to appearing on my home page after every post?
Also, (sorry for all the questions) – I’ve been trying to get my menu 2 with my SM icons to appear on my sidebar and/or header. I wanted to appear exactly as it appears in my footer i.e. round icons with a pink design but it doesn’t seem to allow me to do that.
Would you be able to help me?

Yes, related posts are only shown on individual blog posts, not on your home page after every post.

Those icons are part of a special social media menu in the Sela theme you’re using, and they are designed to only appear in your site’s footer. If you want to set up a social media menu in your site’s sidebar, you can use the Social Media Icons Widget or you can use the social media icons of your choice if you set it up with our guide to Add Social Media Buttons to Your Sidebar or Footer.

Thanks Rachel.
Is there a way to hide my visits on my blog from my stats and it keeps counting my own visits?
-
No there isn’t. Provided you are logged in your visits are not recorded on a public blog but they are recorded on a private blog, and there is no means available to use to set the number back to zero when we chnage from a private to public blog and visa versa. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

Hi Mary,
As timethief mentioned, as long as you are logged in your visits won’t be counted (unless you make your blog private). If you have concerns about how visits are being counted in your stats, please let me know what you see in your stats that you think is an error and I can take a closer look.
