Hi there,
I hope I’m not being exceptionally stupid, but I’ve recently seen on the WordPress Blog the added feature of related posts, and yet when I got to Settings – Reading, I can find no option to turn it on/off. I don’t know whether this is specific to my blog or a more widespread problem, but if I am being really slow and missing the obvious, any chance someone could point out where I’m going wrong?
Thanks!
– Andy
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

See Dashboard > Settings > Reading to turn the related posts and their images on or off.
-
That’s the problem, under Settings > Reading there is no option to turn the related posts or their images on/off. There’s nothing about related posts at all.
-
Did you scroll down on the Reading Settings page? The “Related posts” section comes right after the “Site Visibility” section.
-
After the “Site Visibility” section comes “To infinity and beyond” i.e. the scroll infinitely section. After that its onto the the “Enhanced Feeds”, then “Follower Settings” and that’s it!
Related Posts don’t feature for some reason.
-
Apparently it’s theme-dependent, then, because I don’t have infinite scroll with my theme (The Morning After) and don’t have “To infinity and beyond” on my page. The news release said the feature is “on” by default, so your theme may just be one that doesn’t support it. I’m afraid I don’t know any more than that.

No worries! Not your fault. Was hoping someone from WordPress might have been able to comment, at least to tell me my theme doesn’t support it. Maybe I’ll bump this tomorrow and see if anyone else knows.
Cheers!

I just loaded the Oxygen theme on my test blog, and it shows related posts. You might try logging out, clearing your cache, and then logging back in and checking it again.

Just tried it and.. nothing! So, it will work you, but for some reason I’m getting nothing. Which makes me think I must be doing something really stupid, or missing something very obvious. Argh, frustrating!

Just learned about this great new feature.
However, I did not see an option to turn it on/off under Settings/Reading.
I am using the Twenty Eleven theme. I am not sure if that matters but from reading through the forums it appears that may be part of the problem.
Is the plan to have this work for all themes or only a subset?
Thanks

actually I don’t want to turn them off, I would like them to show up. The problem is they don’t.
I am using the Twenty Eleven theme. I have seen that some themes are having issues but have not seen a list of which ones.
Is the plan to have every theme support this feature or do I need to consider a new theme.
Thanks
