Related posts on my blog only (based on tags?)
-
Dear All,
On my blog (not self-hosted), under each post, I’d like to have a 3 links to related posts on MY blog only (chosen for example by analysing tags). I don’t want to use “related posts” offered in appearance>extras, as it will include other blogs, not mine only.
Am I missing something, or there’s no such option? If that’s the case, is WordPress planning to add that feature in a future?
As I have a blog hosted by WordPress (not self-hosted), I cannot upload any use any plugins that could solve my problem.
Many thanks,
KasiaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. So not even a teeny weeny chance? What about paid upgrades? They don’t allow that, do they?

The data that is displayed as possibly related posts is drawn from the sphere widget. There is no upgrade for what you are indicating. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topic/upgrades/

You can turn off the prp’s by going to Appearance —> Extra
and tick “Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way”You can set your blog to block search engines but allow regular visitors.
(Private blogs also do not show prp)You can still hand write codes to link to other posts on your blog.

@ 1tess
Thank you, so there is some hope for me :)
Sorry for nagging you but that hand writting codes..how to create those? I’m not that good at software, programming etc. Any tips, useful links? ;) -
There are many very good tutorials online. Here’s a link to one http://www.w3schools.com/html/DEFAULT.asp

You can also do links using the visual editor. Use the “chain” icon. Then all you have to do is to paste in the links to your other posts.
But you should note that the version of blocking search engines truly will leave your blog out in the boonies. Simply hiding related links takes you out of the global tags system…
