Release deleted domain

    I deleted the domain stichecker.com from my account yesterday (16 August 2022). It had only been registered for a day (since 15 August 2022). How long will it be before it is released and available to be registered again?

    Howdy,

    It usually takes ~5 days from cancellation for the domain to be released into the pile of domains available for registration.

    If you want to be SURE that you regain control of the domain, we can help you repurchase it from WordPress.com (without the eCommerce plan) and then you can point it to your new host using these instructions:

    https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/change-name-servers/e

    And then transfer it to another registrar down the road if you wish (domains cannot be transferred for 60 days after registration per ICANN regulations).

    Or wait another handful of days to see when it becomes available at your preferred registrar.
