Releasing a url name

  I am a member of my college newspaper The Point from Fitchburg State University. A few years we attempted to use the url “thepoint.wordpress.com”. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use it because it was already taken. I am here to ask if there is a way for you to release the url because of inactivity. The site has not been used or updated since 2006.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
