Releasing an email account
-
I set up a test wordpress site under an email address that I use for my Blogger blog (although the actual Blogger account email is different).
Now when I comment on other wordpress blogs my details come up as this test blog and I can’t comment under my Blogger profile.
What I would like to do is delete my account altogether – but if this is really not possible then at least change the email address that the defunct wordpress site is using.
Could someone tell me how I can sort this out?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In your WP dashboard go to Personal Settings, go to Account Settings, change the Website URL to your Blogger URL and save. After this, when you leave a comment, your Blogger URL will be left behind.
You can’t delete the account, and deleteing the blog URL is permanent. So you might as well keep it as a test blog.

…you may also want to look at the WP Terms of Service regarding advertising, affiliate links and using WP blogs to sell stuff on:

Not judging, just saying.

Thanks for the response I’ll try that. The site is defunct as I said – just a brief idea I had, so there’s no need for Terms of Service stuff!

You might want to make it ‘private’ while you’re trying to figure out what to do with it…
Dashboard > Settings > Privacy Settings > “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose” > Save
