Reloading a FAQ plugin
-
Hello,
I had previously installed a FAQ plugin onto my website however my website appears to have reverted to an earlier version and the FAQ plugin has been removed. I’m also being blocked from reuploading the FAQ plugin. How do I go about getting this plugin back on my website and getting the information back?

Hi there @alexpantonfoundation
Can you share the URL of your website? Also, please mention the FAQ plugin you have used.
This will help the members to provide an answer to your query.

The website URL is: https://alexpantonfoundation.ky
And the plugin was: WP responsive FAQ with category plugin by WP Online Support
Thanks for your help!

Hi there, I checked that your site is hosted at WordPress.com and you had installed the 3rd party plugin ” WP responsive FAQ with category plugin”
I had previously installed a FAQ plugin onto my website however my website appears to have reverted to an earlier version and the FAQ plugin has been removed.
Are you using the paid version of Jetpack with regular back up feature? If you are then you can contact the Jetpack support to help you restore the version of the site with the plugin.
I’m also being blocked from reuploading the FAQ plugin.
What is the error message you are receiving when trying to install the plugin? Is there any security issue with the plugin?
As a WordPress.com paid plan user, you have access to live chat support. You will find it (on the right bottom side) when you log in to your WordPress.com dashboard. You can report this query over the live chat to WordPress Support Staffs.

As per your site DNS and Nameservers record, you are hosted at WordPress.com
hence, you would need to raise a ticket with the WordPress.com support staff.

Hi Deb,
If I am not a paid user, how to I get in contact with the WordPress Support team?
-
On a second check, it shows that your site is hosted at Cogeco Peer 1 (formerly Peer 1 Hosting)
Can you confirm it? If your site is hosted at a paid plan of WordPress.com or is your site hosted with a separate host provider?
This information will direct the solution to your issue.

“Cogeco Peer 1” usually appears on hosting provider checks with WordPress.com sites (normally with ones that have the Business Plan), for some reason. The nameservers are set to those of WordPress.com, so following previous staff advice, I’ve tagged staff.
Sites on a paid plan should have access to Priority Support, including Live Chat. Since you installed a plugin, you’re almost certainly on the Business Plan. It could be possible that site belongs to another account, but this doesn’t seem to be the case based on a few checks of the site.
The easiest thing to do at this point probably is to await a staff response, who should be able to help you out. :)

Hi @alexpantonfoundation, you previously had the ability to install plugins on your site because you had a business plan, but that expired a while ago.
Do you want to renew the plan and have the ability to use plugins again, or would you like to revert to a free site?
