remaking website separately but don’t want to interrupt the current website until the new one is finished

I don’t want to transfer anything at this time. I just want to make a new website because our current one is a little buggy. There isn’t much time to work on a new website so I’ll be slowing doing it piece by piece so I would like our current website/domain to be uninterrupted until I’m finally happy with the replacement. It appears in order to start a new account, I have to link domain first which is alarming.

*edit by “buggy” I mean that the current website on WordPress has key features that are broken. For example) Cannot add or delete new plugins, cannot publish new images, cannot add or delete new menu selections to a new page and many other problems that would otherwise work on a normal version of WordPress. I don’t know what the previous user did, but I can’t operate WordPress like normal so I have to rebuild.

You can start a new site here and use a free .wordpress.com or .blog subdomain address to build it. Then when it’s ready, you can transfer your domain and launch the site.
Please note that since you mentioned that you’re using plugins, you’ll need to purchase our Business or eCommerce plan. Only those two plans allow the installation of plugins.
