Remapping a registered domain
-
The problem is a deleted a blog site prematurely. I know – should have looked into it further before I deleted it. But the damage is done and now I have a problem.
I purchased the Premium upgrade and mapped a .ca domain site to a WordPress blog address(site) that I subsequently deleted permanently. Unfortunately what that did was prevent me from transferring the mapping to the new blog site I set up for that ‘.ca’ domain address. It just gives me the message ‘This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog. ‘
When I attempt to go into the upgrade settings to change the mapping I get “deletedsitename.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.”
Is there anyway around this with out cancelling and asking for a refund which I fear will prevent me from ever linking my registered domain name to a WordPress blog again. – Garp
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Garp,
I removed the mapping so that you can now map it to a new blog. I also went ahead and refunded you because you’ll be asked to pay the mapping fee again. If you still have any trouble, let me know!

Thanks Eurello
I actually cancelled and requested the full premium package ($109 paid by Visa. And then tried to just order a remapping ($14) to see if that worked. But then I think you cancelled it. :-)
I will try again but if you think it will remap to the new blog site I will re-purchase the premium package again. Will it?Garp

Hi Garp – Oops, yeah, I canceled that. :P
Yes, it will remap to the new blog site, just go through the Store in the Dashboard of the blog you want to use it for. If you have any trouble this time, don’t cancel it – just reply and let me know.
