  Is there a way for someone to sign up as a follower to the blog from another web site? An “enter your email address here” for our blog/newsletter?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts go to > Settings > Reading and scroll down to Follower Settings:

  These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
  Logged out users __ Show follow button to logged out users.

  Checking this will present a follow button to logged out users in the bottom corner of their screen.

  Note: As a spammer prevention you are limited to sending out 10 invitations at one point in time. Then wait and send out 10 more.

  Timethief, thank you.

  I should have been a little more specific …. I’ve read through the WordPress help, and have set the blog up to enroll followers on the blog.

  My question involves using another web site entirely to sign a follower up to a blog … is there a way to do that? In this case, my organization has it’s own website elsewhere, and we’d like to be able to sign up new followers from that website. If that’s not possible, the alternative is to have them click a link directing them to the WordPress blog, where they can sign up.

  I haven’t read anything in the WordPress help that suggests this can work, hence reaching out to see if anyone knows if this is possible.

  I’ve read through the WordPress help, and have set the blog up to enroll followers on the blog.

  There is no set up for enrolling followers on any free hosted WordPress.com blog other than what I provided above.

  On a WordPress.org install you can set up membership enrollment but you can’t do that on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. You can link to your website on the blog though.
