Remote Publishing not working.

  Since I don’t have Internet at home I’d love to use a decent Offline Editor since using LibreOffice and copypasting is not entirely ideal, especially concerning pictures.
  However, I can’t get it to work.
  I tried Windows Live Writer and BlogDesk. Both are evidently able to successfully connect to the Blog, but both cannot publish posts. BlogDesk can do image upload test successfully and also retrieves the categories without a hitch.
  I get the same error with both programs when trying to publish a test post. The post is just a topic and some Lorem Ipsum text, no images or anything.
  The error:
  Errorcode 500
  You are not allowed to do that.

  No idea, my WP is standard without plugins. XML-RPC is standard in WP, so I’m confused…
  Hope someone can help.

  No one got an idea or solution? Help would be really appreciated since at work I have to well, work and can’t spend a lot of time on my blog.

  I flagged this for the staff – maybe they can translate the error – not sure where the WLW help is – I used to use it and it sort of just hooked up and worked – don’t use it now because the genius’s at the computer repair place messed up my ability to install it again

  So I have been writing in Open Office and pasting in the text using the plain text past box then putting the pictures into the Post – yes it sucks – WLW was nice in that I could write the Post including the pictures then just press the upload button then fine tune the looks and publish the post

  This has been how I do it as well, but I want to write a little more and am trying to improve my workflow in general. Formatting in WLW is a lot easier than in WP itself I think.

  yes putting it all in a single formatted file is much easier

  Thanks, already tried setting it up as close as possible to that. The new WLW version recognizes WP automatically, but I checked the settings manually afterwards and they are correct.
  BlogDesk can’t publish either, but it can connect successfully and even retrieve categories.
