Removal of automattic google workspace

    I am trying to get back into an old account which is the reseller account for my google email. I would like it if my google account was seperated from wordpress / automattic so that I can update and manage emails directly though google.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    I do not see any upgrades under your @techniqbikes WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

    Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? What is the URL of the site associated with the upgrade you are needing help with? Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    Hi, the purchase was made under the same login but it was for the site sterlands.wordpress.com which is no longer working.

    It’s not possible for two WordPress.com accounts to use the same email address. However, it looks like the account that owns the upgrades for sterlands.wordpress.com used @googlemail.com not @gmail.com for the email address.

    If you don’t remember the login you used for that account, you can reset the password for the googlemail email address here:

    If I login to the site sterlands.wordpress.com it automatically changes to techniqbikes.wordpress.com. Regardless I would simply like to remove the re-seller status of the google workspace account linked to @sterlands.com.

    Please can you advise on the best way for me to do this.

    We cannot make changes to your account unless you’re logged into the account that owns the upgrades.

    I’d recommend either logging out of techniqbikes and into the other account – if you don’t log out first, it uses your current login – or using a different browser than you normally use.

    Otherwise, you would need to go through our account recovery process to prove ownership of the account in question, which is a bit more complicated.

    Let us know if you still have trouble getting logged into the right account and we can give you the account recovery information you need.

    I have already tried the above steps and am coming here from the account recovery page. I am unable to recover the account.

    Ok, I think we’ll need to move you to an email – since the two email addresses are technically the same on Google’s end, we’ll need to get one of them updated.

    I’ve just sent an email to the Gmail address (subject: WordPress.com Help: [Forums] Removal of automattic google workspace) and your reply should go to the Account Recovery team. They can help sort out this tangle and get your Google Workspace sorted out.
