removal of comments on blogs

Hello,
I’ve posted several comments on a blog over a number of years. I’d like all of my comments to be removed. Is this something the account owner can do quite simply? or would they need to find each individual comment I’ve ever made?
Does the website owner have to comply with my request? or is this optional?

Hi there,
You’ll need to contact the account owner to help you delete the comments as it cannot be done from your end.
Once a comment is made on a blog, the account owner has control over the comment – approve, delete, or edit any comments. You can read more here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-comments/
I’ll say it’s optional for the owner to comply to your request but still give it a try.

I’ve read the guidance. I would still be interested in whether or not the account owner can do a bulk delete of any comments I’ve submitted? Or whether each one has to be done individually. If it was individually, I would imagine this would take a very long time indeed.
My understanding was that under GDPR that if a commenter wishes for their comments to be removed that this request must be complied with?
Any further advice would be very welcome

Hi there,
The account owner can go to the comment section and select all comments, using the checkbox, that has your name/email attached to it and do a bulk delete (move to trash) and also empty the trash.
