Removal of domain

  I removed my domain to use on another host site. It is showing up as ‘unavailable’ even though I have deleted it here. How do I make my domain available again?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Alexandra,

  I may disappoint you but once you lose a domain, it’s hard to get it back.
  It takes around 2 years for a deleted domain name to be available for users.
  Read more on following page –

  If you’ve recently removed your domain name then staff can try to retrieve your domain name. Though the chances are low.
  Please confirm you bought the domain name with WordPress.com. If yes then add modlook tag in sidebar and get staff assistance.

  Are you talking about the domain https://itsalexjordan.com ? You can’t just delete it and expect it to be immediately available for use elsewhere. There is a procedure that needs to be followed.

  I think staff need to look at your account so I have added modlookto the tag box to ask if they can advise you.

  It takes around 2 years for a deleted domain name to be available for users.

  That rule only applies to domain names ending in .WordPress.com

  The Modlook tag in the sidebar notifies staff that help is needed in a certain thread.

  Is it itsalexjordan.com that you’re asking about?
