    Hi,

I’m the church admin responsible for church website development and administration. Currently, we have created a new website for our church at http://www.tppchurch.org/index.php?lgg=en_US.

The existing website located at https://tppcsg.wordpress.com/ was developed by our ex-staff who has already left our church and not contactable anymore. He did not leave behind the admin login credential and we are not able to remove this old website at all!

Thus, we would like to request help from you to remove such website as the contents are outdated so as to avoid confusion to viewers for our newly published paid website.

    Regards,
    Soo

    Hi there,

I’m afraid only an admin of a WordPress.com site can take the site offline, and we cannot do it at the request of a third party. A WordPress.com site belongs to the individual who owns the account that created it, not to any organisation they might be affiliated with, even if they made the site for the organisation in question.

In that case, there is no way for us to find the ex-staff totally as he is not contactable at all. The old website is being published by the ex-staff without letting the church admin know.

If you see carefully the website, the address is not updated to our latest address since the church has moved to a new place. This is our biggest concern since it will lead the public to the wrong address. This is why we urgently seek for your help to remove such website completely to avoid misleading the public viewers.

I understand your concern, but there’s nothing we can do here.

That site does not belong to the church. It belongs to the individual who owns the WordPress.com account that created it. We cannot take the site offline or modify any information on it without the consent of the site owner.

And the information published does not constitute person information that could represent a safety issue for an individual human being, which is the only situation in which we can make exceptions to our policies in this regard.

I have emailed the owner of that site to make them aware of your request, but that’s all I’m able to do in this case.
