Removal of 'search' widget

  How do you remove the ‘search’ widget? I have followed the instructions given but the ‘search’ widget does not disappear.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Eveline – That’s one of the default sidebar widgets that appear until you add any widget of your own. To make them go away, go here and drag any widget into the Blog Primary Sidebar area:

  If you don’t want any widgets at all, edit your Updates page:
  https://evelineoppelaar.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=249&action=edit

  And choose the Full Width Page template from Page Attributes here:
  https://cloudup.com/chHQQFm40Eb
