Remove 3 Features – Pilcrow Theme
-
I would like to edit out information. My blog uses the PIlcrow theme, and I have the CSS upgrade. My address is: librariantogo.com. There are 3 items I would like to get help with:
1. I would like to remove the date stamp entirely from by blog.
2. I would like to disable the option for leaving comments.
3. I would like to remove the “filed under” feature as I won’t be using tags.Any help will be very much appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1. This gets rid of the date and the grey box.
.entry-meta {display:none; }2. To disable comments, go to settings discussion and you can turn them off there. That setting will only apply to future posts or pages. Any existing published posts or pages will have to have the comments turned off in the post or page editor for each post or page (discussion module down below the text area).

.jump {display:none; }3. This gets rid of the text (filed under and leave a comment) but leaves the grey bar.
.entry-links p {display:none; }If you want to get rid of the grey bar as well then use this instead.
.entry-links {display:none; } -
Thank you so much! Everything worked like a charm. I really appreciate your time! Thanks again!

the .entry-links p {display:none; } mod works great, but also removes the “Filed under icon and category.
I’ve want comments off globally and don’t want the “comments off” message to display anywhere, but I do use categories.
Is there a way to hide the “comments” comments and leave the categories?

You were wanting different stuff to disappear. Give this a try.
.comment-number, .comment-number span { display: none; } -
Awesome! that works great. But there is one remaining problem. Even though the comments off in the grey bar, there is still a “Comments are closed” text line just above the footer (see for example: http://oysterjuice.wordpress.com/2011/03/19/kaddish/ ). Is there any way to turn that off too?

Hi,
It hasn’t gotten rid of “Comments are Closed,” on the second pages of Gate 32, Holy Ghost and Truly Professional. That’s why I signed up for the CSS customization. Any way to fix this?

The above removes the comments are closed on all pages and posts for me. I don’t see the above in your custom CSS. Did you save the stylesheet after adding it? If you were using preview, it sometimes requires you to refresh the preview page in order to see the change. You can also modify the first code I posted and make it into this.
.comment-number, .comment-number span, .nocomments { display: none; } -
