Remove a secondary domain name from a site
-
I am new to WP and am still learning the ropes. I’m not very tech savvy so please be gentle! I created a blog for a class assignment using my name.wordpress.com. Then I purchased my name domain name. I decided to change the name of my blog before I make it public and I bought that domain name. Is there a way to remove my name domain name from the site? When you enter it, it re-directs to the new site name but I’d like to remove it and save it for another site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Primary Blog is Set
istaycurious.com is set as the primary domain for istaycurious.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.
Not exactly sure since old-name, my-name etc are a bit confusing – but you can cancel the domain mapping for istaycurious.com (but NOT the domain registration) and set the Primary blog back to istaycurious.wordpress.com – that makes the address istaycurious.wordpress.com display for browsers and you can then map istaycurious.com to another blog name if you want.
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades – to cancel
Dashboard >> Store >> Domains – to set Primary blogIf you don’t want to see “suzylins” – then you need to log out and register a new account (takes a different email)
This help any?

So, to not have suzylins.com re-direct to istaycurious.com I need to register a new account for suzylins.com under a new email? Am I understanding correct?

You’ve set a different domain (istaycurious.com) as primary for istaycurious.wordpress.com. Although you can map more than one domain to your blog, only one can be primary.
Cancel the domain mapping for suzylins.com – or if you have another blog you can transfer the domain mapping to another blog – either works – both from the same place
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades
No need for a new account unless you don’t want to use the account name suzylins – some themes will display the account name that made a Post
