Remove Accidental Parent Category
-
Just signed up for WordPress on behalf of my organization. In our blog, I accidentally added parent categories while writing a new post: Mililani Missions and Missions. Haven’t figured out how to delete/remove them. Any solution I find on Google requires going into CSS and tweaking code. I simply want to know how to remove those categories (which I haven’t even listed any post under). Surely it’s as simple as clicking a ‘trash’ symbol? Please help.

Hi there.
If you go to this link, you should be able to manage all the categories.
http://speakingofmbc.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category
If you hover over a category name, you’ll see the menu pop up. The only one you can’t delete is the default category.
Here’s more info.
Hope this helps!
