Remove Add Comment hyperlink

Im using the Garland by Steven Wittens theme, on my Welcome page under the image a link for leaving a comment is there, even though I turned comments off for this page in the settings, how can I remove the text?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Doesn’t appear that you can remove the “Add Comment” link even with Discussion Settings showing not to allow comments on new posts and removing the ability to post a comment on old posts.
FWIW, it’s not a “dead” link, it will bring a visitor from your Front/Home page to the individual Post.
Probably not what you wanted to hear and would be happy to be proven wrong.

If you had CSS editing experience and the paid CSS upgrade, on the theme you are using you could hide it.
The thing to be aware of though is that is possible only on a small minority of themes here, so if you were to change themes, it is highly likely you would be back to the same problem. Typically the comment link is lumped in with and controlled by the same section of the CSS that controls date, author, tags and categories (post metadata) so hiding one hides them all.
