Remove ads for £20

  I want to remove ads for £20 using http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/no-ads/ I saw this advertised on the web, but now I’ve signed up I cannot switch it on for £20. WordPress is trying to charge me £70. How do I switch off ads without paying £70 for the premium edition?

  Since your account was registered after Sept 1, 2014 you are subject to the Cable TV Bundle – Up-Sell special pricing – you can’t buy individual upgrades and need to buy the bundle for $99.- and buy stuff that you don’t seem to want or need.

  I and many other argued against the new pricing policy but lost the argument

  Your only option would be to find a friend with an older account and transfer the blog to that account and have the older account buy the upgrade for you – but make sure they are a real good friend so you don’t loose your blog
