Remove all content

Hi, I’ve done a trial importing from my self-hosted site, but couldn’t get the photos to import as well (all still linking to old server). I’d like to try again. Can you please flush my site?
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey wcvr,
Here is a step by step guide to deleting all the content on your site:
It covers:

Hi lucasjoyce,
I saw that post, however, when I go to my admin site on wordpress.com, I don’t have the bulk edit option. It looks like a newer skin of the admin. How do I access bulk edit?
Thanks

hey,
Thats strange, when you say admin, are you referring to your dashboard?
try this link:

Hi there,
I can see 210MB worth of images in your media library. Are those the images that are supposed to be imported?
If the issue is simply that the links in your posts are still linking to the old source instead of the images in the library, we can fix that on our end. I’ll just need a link or two to posts where this is happening.
If you are missing images from the library as well re-importing won’t help. The images didn’t import because they aren’t attached to posts on your previous site. But if the previous site is still online and publicly accessible we might be able to import those images for you. In that case, please provide a link to a post on your site with an image that’s not in the media library, and also provide the URL of the original site.

@lucasjoyce – the confusion is that I was using this admin https://wordpress.com/posts/wcvr.wordpress.com rather than the one you linked.
Coming from a self-host background, the wp-admin site is much easier for me to utilize because of familiarity.

Hi @kokkieh,
I’d like to take you up on your offer. I was thinking I’d have to manually edit and relink each post with all the photos per post. Would have been a nightmare.
Here’s a sample post. I notice that everything in the gallery on the old site didn’t migrate to the new site as well?

Okay. I’ll ask a developer to try and pull across those images for you. Please make sure the old site remains online and accessible until we confirm the images have been imported. Note that this isn’t always successful, but we can try.
This will most likely only be after the weekend.

Okay, we were able to import most of the missing images, with the exception of those in galleries like on the example post you provided above. Image galleries reference the image ID, not the image link, so we have no way of identifying the correct image to pull across in your self-hosted site’s library. Those you’ll need to re-upload here manually.
This post you’ll also need to fix manually, but all the other image links should be rewritten to point to your WordPress.com site’s library now.
