remove allowable tags text at bottom of comment box (Reddle theme)

    Hi everyone,

    I’ve spent ages looking for a way to remove that line of text at the bottom of the comment box that tells you what tags you can use. I just don’t think it’s relevant for my users.

    The only thing I found all over the place was:
    ‘.form-allowed-tags {display:none}’

    but that makes zero difference for me…I’m not sure if that’s because of recent WP updates, or my Reddle theme or maybe something else…

    Is this a CSS issue or php? Either way, anyone know how to get it gone? Thanks in advance for your help!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Alright, so I’m a n00b and just realized that I had left off a closing } on the rule above this one. So the .form-allowed-tags {display: none} does indeed work, in case anyone else is looking for this fix :)

    kathleenberbec,

    I’ve been trying to remove the tags from my blog posts aswell, but the code you posted above didn’t work for me.

    I’ve placed the {display:none} after the .form-allowed-tags (which appears 3 times over the STYLE.CSS).
    Is that correct?

    http://www.foradoescritorio.com.br/ is not a blog being hosted by WordPress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and not for WordPress.org software installs. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

    I just put it one time at the bottom of my child theme’s style.css sheet. It would also work at the bottom of your WordPress’ Edit Css page as well, if you don’t have a child theme. You only have to post it one time in a child style.css sheet or the wordpress Edit Css page – it is loaded after your main theme’s . If you are editing it in the main style.css sheet then I really don’t know.

    I followed these steps to create a child theme and it works like a dream:

    I formatted the code like this:

    .form-allowed tags {
    display: none
    }
