Remove ampersand code in menu

  Hi. The following code u0026amp; appears in place of the ampersand in a menu. Because the menu is generated by a wordpress theme I cannot change it.
  When I go to Appearances, there is no menu option. Changing the page title has no effect.
  Any assistance greatly appreciated
