  Somehow an old site is attached to my email. How do I remove the old and continue with a new?

  I see you have two sites under your account with us, to clarify are you trying to delete one of your sites, so that you only have one site on your account?

  If so it is possible to delete a site, but it is permanent so you will want to be extra sure that you want to remove it forever. If you are sure, you can follow the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
