Remove an original theme sidebar widget?

  I’m using the Press Row theme, which has original widgets (i.e., the Search box) on the sidebar that I don’t need. Is there any way to remove or change the widget without changing the CSS code?

  If you add a widget to the sidebar, the default set goes away.
