Remove and Delete Account

  Hi there,

  Can you please delete and close off my account as I do not want it to be active on the internet anymore. I could not find a way to delete it easily through the settings.

  Hello Shane,

  You can’t delete an account but you can remove a blog. In order to do so please follow the steps below:

  1) Open your site’s dashboard, go to Tools → Delete Site

  2) Make sure you choose a reason for closing your site as it will provide the company with information they may use for further improvement of their services.

  3) Once you select a reason for closing the account, you will get a follow up screen which will ask you more questions. You may skip this part and look for the “Delete Now” button in blue.

  4) A pop up will appear asking you if you’re sure about permanently removing your site. Check the box confirming this action and then click on “Delete Now”.

  5) This is the final step. You will receive a confirmation link to your email. If you are certain that you would like to remove your blog, click on the confirmation link.

  In that case, could a mod be kind enough to remove the account name from the title of this forum post?

  I had assumed it would go through to a ticketing system, not a public forum. Such is life!
