Remove archive search

    I thought there was no sidebar in this template, but on this pagehttp://workcollections.com/hvordan-videoer/
    and on this
    http://workcollections.com/type/video/
    the archive and search appears. I have been inspecting element in FF and can find the code for the items. I just want to remove the archive and search – not the items above.
    Again, I would need a correct code for this to happen!

    I wish, instead of archive, blogroll (?) etc link pages.
    This template doesn’t have submenu option ( at least I can’t find it)
    so linking is the option I have to go for. That will work, I think, but “archive” + “search” has to go…..

    Possible code?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Regarding submenu, sorry….
    you can list a “submenu” for a page, but then it will list as it’s own menu link on the homepage and not a “hoover over” – listing.

    Hi, on the sidebar area on the video page, yes there isn’t a widget area that you can use, but the theme designer’s decided to hardcode in an archive listing and a search box to provide users with some options on finding things. We cannot add other widgets to that widget area on Collections.

    They can be hidden, if you wish, using the following CSS.

    .sidebar .widget, .sidebar form {
        display: none;
    }

    The menu in Collections does not support submenus and this isn’t something that can be added with CSS.

    The main navigation for this theme is through the panels on the main page, and through the icons on the left of post type pages (aside, video, post, image, etc.). If you aren’t going to be using post types, and if you want a more standard type of navigation, you may want to consider a different theme.

    thesacredpath; thank you for your help with this.
    Both archive and searchbox diasppeared – just as I wanted.

    I did search high and low for several days for themes and hosting .
    As I think you have seen, this is going to be more of a ressource site than a regular blog or a showcase thing. I like the appearence of the pages very much; very clean.
    During the past years I have made a few (free) sites and been able to customize them for their purpose. Now I had to consider what file formats accepted + storing. You would not remember, but I do; several years back you actually helped me with a free template a couple of times. I have known this forum to be a great one, so when the choice narrowed to options of purchasing, it was the best choice to land here.
    I can fix the navigation with linked pages. It’ll do.
    I hope I will manage “on my own” now – at least how far I can see.

    Again; thank you!
