    @doraamador
    All CSS editing is theme specifc. The person who began this thread is using the premium theme Elemin and you are not using it. You are using Hero. Please click this link and start your own thread so we don’t have a confused mess in this thread. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform

    I checked http://eatlovetrain.wordpress.com/ and I found that you were able to hide the byline (author name) for posts in the Elemin theme:

    .post-format-icon {
    	display: none
    }
    .entry-meta .byline {
    	display: none
    }

    Nice work!

    You can combine those into one block, and if you add a selector for “entry-meta .entry-categories” to the list, it will also hide the category list for posts.

    .post-format-icon,
    .entry-meta .entry-categories,
    .entry-meta .byline {
    	display: none;
    }

    I checked http://solodiosbasta.net/2012/12/22/vigencia-del-mensaje-de-navidad-del-mcl-escrito-por-oswaldo-paya-para-hoy/ and I see you are using the Hero theme. To hide the author name and “Permalink” in the Hero theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

    .single #content .byline,
    .group-blog #content .byline,
    .entry-meta a:last-child {
    	display: none;
    }

    Note that you cannot add dynamic content such as a customized author name using CSS only. To change the author name on WordPress.com, each author must log in to their account and update the “Display Name” in their profile. Here is a help page explaining where to find the setting:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-profile/

    Note that each user must update separately, you cannot do it for them. Also, make sure to remove the first two selectors to hide “byline” from the CSS example above if you want to display the author names.

    timethief makes a good point about CSS being theme specific. In the future, please start a new help request for CSS questions relating to different themes instead of commenting on other help requests.
