Remove background colour from under footer. Swell theme

    I’ve assigned a background colour of #a7f0c5 for my home page but it appears under the footer too where I don’t want it. I’ve tried seeing if I’ve added some padding or margin-bottom pixels somewhere that’s making this happen – but can’t work it out.

    The page is just meant to end with the footer – which is all white. Not with a blue block underneath it!

    Anyone help?

  • Hi there!

    I’m not sure if you’ve figured this out as there is no blue block below the footer? Not sure if the blue is now green?

    Cheers!

    Well – It’s turquoise to be specific! But whatever the colour – it shouldn’t be there. Any ideas how to remove it?

    Hi there,

    You can use the below code to hide #wpstats that contains a smiley used for WordPress statistics.

    #wpstats {
        display: none;
    }

    You can also use the below code to change the page’s background back to white (it doesn’t affect the middle of the page that is in turquoise :))

    body {
        background-color: #FFF;
    }

    Please write back if you need anything else.

    Take care,

    Onur

    You star! Its was that smiley face that was doing it! I thought I could see a smiley face there – didn’t know what it was for.

    Many thanks and Merry Christmas!

    Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you too!
