Hi, you can choose to use the Classic editor by clicking on the ‘. . .’ settings icon in the upper right corner of the editing screen.
Then, click on Switch to Classic Editor.
I hope that helps :)

No dots show up for me except near the block things, and it only says ‘toggle advanced’, and does nothing except turn the dots sideways with no more detail than that. I stumbled on the right choice once and reset it to classic, and yet it sets back to the unwanted block option. Help please, since the advice given simply doesn’t seem to apply to the pages or post drafts that I see.

I checked your site account and it is currently set to classic, so I gather you were able to figure out how to change it? If you have any other questions, let us know!

Interestingly, it only changed to classic AFTER I had logged out and back in again. It kept me from adding new pages yesterday since I have a kind of epilepsy and my visual stuff gets messed up. I hope to be able to use it today with the classic view. It shows the classic view today and I hope it stays that way forever!
Thanks for looking at it. It is sort of a glitch that it didn’t change when I said ‘change’ though.

Actually, I just did a lengthy new page on classic and published it, and clicked on the title of it in my list of pages, and it gave me the block form. BOOOOO. I don’t see the mythical dots anywhere, so any ideas please? Thanks.

When editing a WordPress.com post in the Block editor do you see on the toolbar top right that says: “Preview” “Update” “Cog/Settings” “JetPack” and finally, the three dots ie “More tools and options”. Opening that menu gives you “Switch to Classic Editor” bottom right.
