Remove blog and make it a portfolio website

I need to remove the blog section I just want the portfolio page to appear as my homepage and when you click on ‘Jin Chana’ it keeps wanting me to post a blog

See the Portfolio Page Template section of the Sketch theme guide. If you also want to display items in the Featured Content Slider as in the Sketch demo, then see the Featured Content section of the theme guide.
and when you click on ‘Jin Chana’ it keeps wanting me to post a blog
I’m not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean when you click on the site title “Jim Chana?” The site title just links to the front page, and whenever anybody clicks on it they should be taken to the front page, or remain on the front page if they’re already there.

If you don’t want to have a blog, you need to set up a static front page and assign the portfolio page template to it.
Go into your Customizer‘s Static Front page section and choose “A static front page” for your homepage. Select the published portfolio page you created.
You’ve already assigned the portfolio page template to the page and published some portfolio projects, so I think that’s the main step that’s missing: setting the static homepage.
