Remove blog capability

I’m ready to go live, but I do not intend to blog. How do I eliminate this capability?
Thanks!

Hey boomercarol,
A great way to transform your blog into a static website is to start by picking out a theme you like from https://wordpress.com/themes/. Once you’ve picked out your theme, go to Customize – Static Front Page, and set your front page to “A static page.”
This will transform your home page from a blog roll into a static website. For more information, including a video tutorial, check out these links: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
https://learn.wordpress.com/bonus-round-get-a-home-page/Once you’ve set your static page, you can then create your pages (https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/) and navigation menus (https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/), so readers can navigate your website.
You won’t be able to completely eliminate the “posts” functionality from your WordPress.com website, but you can always choose to use static pages instead.
There are a number of tutorials on our support pages for creating different types of non-blog websites. For more, you can check out https://learn.wordpress.com/, or more specifically, https://learn.wordpress.com/bonus-round-get-a-home-page/.
I hope this helps! If you have any specific questions, or run into any problems, please feel free to reach out to us here on the forums.
