Remove blog, keep account.
-
I created a personal blog / new account and then no longer wished to use it. I then created a second blog under the same account with a different name because I couldn’t figure out how to change the site URL to match the site name. I would like to remove the original blog while keeping the 2nd one unaffected. Is this possible?
Blog url: http://wanderingwolseley.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The answer is deleting one blog will not effect the other. I strongly advise that you make the first blog “private” and use it as a test blog or back-up blog. You may wish to use it in the future. You can delete a blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/ but deleting a blog is forever. It takes 3 warnings and a verification link in an email that make it clear the blog URL will be gone forever and the URL cannot be recycled and reused by anyone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ That’s why we Volunteers recommend http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/making the blog visibility private and using it as a test blog or a backup blog.

Thanks for the help! I can make the blog private. Having it sit there, empty doesn’t bother me. The problem is that my comments and probably all notifications ( as well as this request for help ) are all under the original blog name Catoneiric. I’d rather have it all under the blog I use primarily, Wandering Wolseley.
Will the change to private switch my comments and notifications to use the Wandering Wolseley name?
