Remove blog title & tagline in Blogum theme so only my custom header appears
-
I downloaded a new theme called Blogum, and uploaded a custom header for it, but would like to remove the blog title (and tagline, if it appears) from the header. I find no nowhere to select “NO” under the Display Text option on the Appearance -> Header page. I want just the custom header to appear at the top. Thank you.

Unfortunately, that’s not actually an option with this theme, but you could hide it via CSS if you have a Custom Design upgrade.

Too bad. Can you answer this next question? I tried to get a new blog with the name “and then I said” and was told it was already taken. I looked everywhere for it and couldn’t find it. Even on whois.net. How can I verify this and use the name?

It wouldn’t have been with spaces. Blognames can’t contain spaces. You can register [anything].wordpress.com and title it “And Then I Said,” as long as [anything] is available.
