Remove bottom bar on site ?

  I notice as I scroll down the blog, a bar appears at the bottom of the browser, with the name of the blog on the left hand side and “CREATE A FREE WEBSITE OR BLOG AT WORDPRESS.COM” on the right hand side.

  Is there a way to remove this bar?

  Hi there!

  You have few options available. On a free plan, it’s not possible to completely remove the footer credit but you can choose between several options, from the WordPress.com logo to text options like “A WordPress.com Website” or “Powered by WordPress.com.”.
  You can do that bu heading on My Sites → Customize. In the Site Identity section, look for the Footer Credit menu and choose between the options you prefer.

  If you want to remove the footer credit altogether, you will need a Business plan.

  With other plans, you can instead customize it using the Custom CSS option.

  Hi there,

  The bottom bar is a footer that appears when infinite scroll is enabled. You can get rid of it by disabling infinite footer under Settings > Reading.
  Follow this link:

  After disabling infinite scroll, your footer at the bottom of the page will display something like “BLOG AT WORDPRESS.COM” and not during scrolling. If you have to get rid of this then you have to purchase Business plan.

  Another option is purchasing Premium plan to enable custom CSS. After which adding this CSS code snippet will remove the footer credit.

  .site-info a {
      display: none;
  }

  If you don’t wish to make any purchase then the simplest option is to display WordPress Logo which is smallest of all footer credits. You can change it at My Sites > Themes > Customize > Site Identity > Footer Credits.

  No worries. Also, I didn’t mention disabling infinite scroll, that’s the best option if you want to get rid of the bottom bar while scrolling :)
